I have many more photos. These are just a few. I went home end of June/early July for my grandma's 90th birthday which falls on the 4th of July. It was great catching up with my family - some who I haven't seen in years and some who I met for the first time. It was nice reconnecting. I then stopped in Chicago to play catch up with friends. Had a grrreat time.

These are photos that I have taken during my stay in Australia. The bat is a favorite of mine, as are the chimps. You'll also notice the tail of a whale from my whale watching experience last year in September. Pete took the photo while I was on the other side of the boat tossin' my cookies into a bag. All in all, it was actually a fun experience.
The lovely Sydney
Now you see why I love it here so much. I have more photos and I'll add the rest soon. These are just a few to show you what I'm surrounded by. The photo with the city in the background was taken from our balcony. Still haven't taken the Harbour Bridge walk. Kinda like the Sears Tower - I live in the city and keep telling myself "Someday.". Hey, I took a shot at whale watching and.... well, you'll read of my experience. ;-)

QUOTE FROM A FRIEND
"Perhaps the reason you stay together after all these years is the fact that you’re still trying to capture each other any way you can, every moment you have. Maybe the fact that you never can catch it all keeps it so fascinating."

- Thanks for stopping by. I thought starting this page would be a fun way to keep in touch and you can see what I've been up to. My life took a surprising and wonderful turn back in 2006. Whoda thought I'd find myself leaving Chicago and moving to the other side of the world where I'm now enjoying life in Australia!
