New Year's Eve at my brother's house

The host of the party, my brother, Chris Pete's teaching Zach the guitar and then he has a go at Guitar Hero

Mom proudly holding little Katie Pete enjoying a cuddle..........as is Steve and Samuel
Doggies relaxing before the big countdown

Kyle being shy for the camera
Everyone enjoying a festive meal

Pete introduced everyone to the chocolate game. You sit in a circle with a huge chocolate bar and, while wearing a hat, scarf and gloves, each person has to try to cut a piece of chocolate with a fork and knife while the others take turn rolling the dice. The first person who rolls a 6 gets a shot at the chocolate bar. It was a huge hit!

Mom's pleased with her necklace.
After a few drinks, we were entertained by the reflection off [what is now called] my disco sweater. Maybe it was one too many drinks?
Sister, Cathy.Brother, Chris. What a handsome mug.
Neices, Brittany and Kayla, playing Guitar Hero. I'm told it's very popular these days.
Nephew, Zach. Cool hat!
Everyone excitedly opening their gifts, including the family dogs, Skippy and Kota.

The Clock Tower

Located in downtown St. Albans. Built between 1403-1412. I love how much history England holds.

An early morning walk

Pete and I decided to take a morning walk through the Verulamium Park.
St. Albans was once occupied by the Romans around 50 A.D. and was named Verulamium. This picture shows the remains of the Roman wall found in Verulamium Park which once encircled the town.

QUOTE FROM A FRIEND

"Perhaps the reason you stay together after all these years is the fact that you’re still trying to capture each other any way you can, every moment you have. Maybe the fact that you never can catch it all keeps it so fascinating."

Thanks for stopping by. I thought starting this page would be a fun way to keep in touch and you can see what I've been up to. My life took a surprising and wonderful turn back in 2006. Whoda thought I'd find myself leaving Chicago and moving to the other side of the world where I'm now enjoying life in Australia!
